Trip to Vancouver one day, to top of podium next for junior girls’ champ

Shortly after taking a cross-country flight from Vancouver to Ottawa, Glebe’s Mei Mei Weston flew to a cross-country lead from start to finish to win the junior girls’ 5 km race by over a minute at the national capital high school XC championships on Oct. 22 at the Hornets Nest.

Glebe pack use friendly internal rivalry to win midget boys’ team crown

Tom Lane, Henry Morris and Aidan Westdal looked like they’d been teammates forever, not a matter of weeks. The Glebe trio ran virtually side-by-side throughout the 4 km midget boys’ Hornets Nest course and finished within 5 seconds of one another in 10th, 11th and 12th place to win national capital team gold.

The Louis-Riel Rebelles train ran out of fuel on the last day of the March 9-12 OFSAA ‘AAA/AAAA’ Girls’ Hockey Championships as they settled for an antique-bronze medal with a 2-1 loss to Father Leo J. Austin Wildcats, finishing fourth out of 20 teams.
