The players broke their huddle near the dugout with one giant “Canada!” cheer and Ottawa resident Jenn Yee sprinted to her second base position at about the same speed she’d just run to home plate, so energized was she by the roar of the sold-out crowd at the President’s Choice Ajax Pan Am Ballpark and the opportunity that lay ahead.
