Citing burdensome off-field responsibilities such as fundraising and alumni commitments, J.P. Asselin resigned as head coach of the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees football team in favour of an offensive coordinator position with the soon-to-be-reborn Carleton Ravens program under Steve Sumarah.
