The last time the Gee-Gees football team and the Windsor Lancers met, on October 15, uOttawa won 32-30 on a last-second field goal. On October 29, at Frank Clair Stadium, the two teams faced off against each other again at the OUA quarterfinals. This time around, uOttawa was not so fortunate as they lost by a score of 50-33.

On a cold, windy October afternoon, the Gee-Gees men’s football team played its final home game of the regular season against the Windsor Lancers. After falling behind 14-0 early in the game, the resilient Gee-Gees ultimately prevailed by a score of 32-30, on a last-second game-winning field goal by fourth-year kicker Matt Falvo (Welland, Ont.).

High school football shines in United Way Day spotlight

St. Joseph Catholic High School was the place to be last week for the local football community as all 18 senior national capital high school teams gathered for the annual United Way Day where matches were played from breakfast to dinner time on the side-by-side fields in Barrhaven.
