Rhythmic gymnast Lucinda Nowell captured her second medal of the Pan Am Games on Monday afternoon, helping the Canadian group rhythmic team to a 6 clubs, 2 hoops event final bronze a day after earning a matching bronze in the 5 ribbons event final.

The 16-year-old captured her third consecutive all-around title at the June 13-14 provincial championships in Burlington, this time topping the Level 6B category, with gold medal wins for her ball and hoop routines and bronze for clubs.

Sam Cornett earned her third medal of the Pan Am Games on Friday night at Exhibition Place with a silver in the women’s team event, but after winning singles bronze and doubles silver earlier, the 24-year-old veteran of the Canadian women’s squash team was disappointed to not complete her collection.
