Ottawa Akademy snowboard product John Leslie earned a top result of 5th place at the Feb. 4-7 World Para Snowboard Championships in Kelowna. That came in the men banked slalom lower limb 2 race, while he was also 11th in the cross competition.

London 2012 Paralympic rower David Blair had plotted a Rio 2016 appearance in triathlon, but was shut out due to an evaluation that determined his visual impairment wasn’t severe enough to meet Paralympic eligibility criteria.
