Being totally blind apparently wasn’t enough of a challenge, so race organizers loaded up Jason Dunkerley with a 7-lb. vest as well, but he still couldn’t be stopped from posting the fastest 5 km time at the Alive to Strive race on Sunday, April 27 at Terry Fox Athletic Facility.

2 Ottawa Lions runners impress at Youth Olympic Games trials

Glebe Collegiate Institute student Claire Smith won the girls' 3,000 m race handily at the North American trials for this summer's Youth Olympic Games in China, finishing around 20 seconds ahead of the field in a time of 9:50.98.
