Pair of Maverick 17U girls' volleyball teams each enjoy solid runs at nationals

The Maverick Gold Rush 17-and-under girls' volleyball team reached the quarter-final round at the May 9-11 Canadian championships in Edmonton.

The Mavs posted wins in their first five matches before the playoff round when they into a dominant Winnipeg Shock team that went on to take gold.

The 17U Maverick Blackjacks won tier 2 silver.
