Former Ottawa-Nepean Canadians baseball player Chris Bisson will make his debut for the senior national team at the Oct. 2-15 World Cup in Panama and the Pan American Games Oct. 19-26 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Bisson, 22, was named to Team Canada today along with 23 other players not currently on 40-man Major League Baseball rosters. The Orleans native is part of the San Diego Padres organization.
Bisson, a second baseman, is batting .261 for A-level Fort Wayne this season and is amongst the top-30 in the league in on-base percentage.
