At only 16-years-old, Merrisah Russell is the youngest athlete representing Ottawa at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Russell is Canada’s top ranked player of the graduating class of 2020. Last year she laced up for Canada’s women’s cadet team in the 2017 FIBA Americas championship. Canada won silver in that tournament. At press time, Russell had scored 6 points through 3 games for Canada at the Commonwealth Games.
